Tapatio's is owned and operated by Salvador & luis pelayo and family. We serve the finest authentic Mexican cuisine in a fun and casual atmosphere. We are proud of our friendly staff, excellent service and quality ingredients. Our menu includes many traditional favorites, including vegetarian options, a full bar and the customer favorite - our signature margaritas! We are happy to serve the community of Newcastle, and appreciate the feedback we get from our customers.
Fresh Mexican Cuisine
The word Tapatio originates from Guadalajara, the capital of the state of Jalisco in Mexico. Its literal meaning is for the natives from this city. But for us at Tapatio's restaurant, it describes a feeling of pride that sets this region apart from Mexico. It is full of traditions that date back from the time of the conquest to the invention that fills us with pride - the Mariachi.
